Overview

The SCULPT line project made it possible to create a process of compensation of emissions, after having measured their carbon footprint.

One of the pillars of this exceptional line is the technical stretch fabric Sensitive® Sculpt, part of the Sensitive® Fabrics range, a Made in Italy patent by Eurojersey. It is crafted through a sustainable production process that minimizes the use of dyes, water, and energy resources.

Specifically, we conducted a partial product Carbon Footprint (Partial CFP), excluding the use and end-of-life phases from the measurement. This was done to calculate and offset the emissions associated with products sold in 2021, through the purchase of international credits to fund the "International Mini-Hydroelectric Energy" project in Sri Lanka, where the line is produced.

This initiative has delivered numerous benefits, as the small hydroelectric plant in Sri Lanka harnesses water from the Kuru Ganga River to generate clean energy that powers the entire island. It also contributes to the revival of the local economy and increases the income of residents, while supporting other income-generating activities such as ecotourism, nurseries, and agriculture.
  • 134 tons of CO2eq offset
  • 1 clean energy project launched
  • Optimized eco-design process

Beauty, Quality, and Innovation

When Beauty, Quality, and Innovation come together, they can create something extraordinary, as seen with the Sculpt Yamamay Line, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023.

The Sculpt leggings were the first Yamamay ecodesign product. The line underwent a Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) analysis to measure the carbon footprint of the product and its related emissions.

With the aim of providing greater transparency to our end consumers, we developed the Digital Product Passport for the collection. By scanning the QR code on the hangtag, customers can access detailed information about the product components, CO2 impacts, water resource usage, and the product's journey along the supply chain.
