Overview
At Yamamay, we invest resources and energy to develop an environmental culture aimed at achieving the goals and targets of the UN 2030 Agenda.
The relationship between RS21 and Yamamay is based on common principles, with a view to sharing the value generated: the sustainable commitment of the RS21 class is sealed by the drafting of the “Sustainability Sailing Manifesto”, which has made it the most sustainable regatta class in the world.
The manifesto covers seven key points: from respect for the sea and the use of natural elements to inclusive sailing and its promotion, from seafaring culture and respect for opponents to the choice of sustainable sponsors and partners. Thanks to Yamamay’s support, a partner actively engaged in the search for sustainable components and processes for the design of its products, RS21’s sustainability programme can continue to develop in new and exciting ways in the next two years.
ISO 20121:2013 Standard
RS21 Italian Class is the first ever WorldChampionship to have obtained the ISO 20121:2013 certification for the design and implementation of the event in Sardinia.
UNI EN ISO 20121:2013 is an international standard that defines the requirements of an event sustainability management system, is based on the established principles of management systems and incorporates some characteristic elements of the ISO 26000 Guideline for social responsibility.
